Increase And Improve The Health Control †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Increase And Improve The Health Control. Answer: Health is a state of complete social, physical and mental wellbeing and it is a basic human right, essential to live a happy life. Maintaining health is a key part of everyones daily life and it can be attained by the contribution of community as well as individual. Thus positive changes in health will be good for the country growth. Hence to increase and improve the health control, health promotion is used. Health promotion has been developed for betterment and is a very important area of work across the globe. Various chronic diseases like heart attack, diabetes, cancer, mental disorders, anxiety, depression and addiction to bad habits are very expensive to treat. For making the community free from pain and reduce risks, health promotion is used. This can be done by improving lifestyle of people which modifies the risk of diseases. As the population is growing rapidly with change of living patterns the health services has also been changed. There are various advanced technologies used to improve the health conditions of people in the community and make them aware about the health issues so that people can improve their health conditions (Nutbeam, Harris Wise, 2010). This can be done by using health promotion strategies as health promotion showcase the path that needs to be followed for betterment. These Health promotion strategies are used to overcome the challenges faced by the members of society. Health promotion is not only beneficial for the individual but it also improves the economic, political and community initiatives (Bell Williams, 2016). It also throws the light on health issues and shows why it is important to take proper actions which in turn will decrease the health conditions of the society. As people are following high standards of lifestyle thus they are seeking for better health needs and sui table care experience. The health strategy is designed in a way so that services reach the desired population and planners may improve the services to meet the needs of people. People in society is still suffering from health inequalities to overcomes these problems, basic principal are undertaken for betterment of health conditions (Conley Durlak, 2017). Health promotion is a very important component of public health. It can be defined as a process to increase the control by enabling people to improve health. It is all about improving health that is improving complete physical, mental and social wellbeing. Health promotion takes steps to improve the conditions by focusing on individual to improve health determinate (Mental healthassociation, 2016). Health Promotion has gained global attention, in the past years as International conferences was held which leads to creation of Ottawa document. This document is considered as a landmark document and is very influential in providing goals and concepts of health promotion. These policies are still practised today. To achieve good health various actions need to be taken like building healthy health policy, creating supportive environment, strengthening community action, developing personal skills and reorienting health services. Building health public policy not only protects health of indi vidual and community but make it easier for people to make healthy decisions (Ministry of health, 2016). This is achieved by legislative regulations and organisational taxation. Also the environment in which people live is directly related to their health. So health promotion basically looks in places where people live, work or play by increasing the ability to make healthy choices. Collective actions of community also play an important role to improve health as community based organisation promotes people to eat healthy, run more and stay fit. The health system used is traditional which focus on individual curative and treatment, now a days holistic approach is used to strengthen protective factors by reducing risk factors and improving health determinants (Lloyd-Jones, et.al , 2010). It can also be said as a combination of educational and ecological, health education, protection measures, risk detection which in turn enhances health. It supports to take conductive actions of health. Various activities are built to improve personal and public health through a combination of strategies including behavioural changes (Sreet, Gold manning, 2013). Health promotion is basically achieved by making people aware about the better health services provided by the government (Eldredge et.al, 2016). As there are many centres that provide services to people, as government has opened many health centres closer to home for comfort of the society. In short health services are made available for everyone so that no one takes the health issues in a negligible way. Health promotion is used to reach to the target population so that it results in better health outcomes. It reduces the gap between health issues and diseases patterns by focusing on economic determinate (US Department of Health and Human Services, 2011). Health promotion can be achieved by encourage people to be a part of health smart society, this can be done by spreading awareness about health issues. People in the society are not literate about the health conditions and issues about that. Health is generally taken in a lenient manner. To focus on increasing the performance of health condition, first step is reaching to the people. It ensures to the public by reflecting that best services are provided in public, by having health camps which could satisfy their health needs (Pate, et.al , 2015). Other than that health is promoted by using digital technologies so that clear information and drawbacks of certain diseases are showcased. Issues-In the society it can be seen that smoking habits is raising day by day. Poverty is the biggest reason of smoking as because of poverty a lot of peer pressure is developed in the individual. Other than youth how are not able to achieve good heights in career starts smoking. It is important to make people aware in the society about the steps that need to be taken. Various programs are imitated by the government which shows bad health warning of smoking and impact of smoking on the body (Shonkoff, Boyce McEwen, 2010). Especially the youth in the society is suffering from this problem. Also by using digital technologies helps in supporting good health. Many programs have been started to make public aware how the issue can be resolved (Conley Durlak, 2017). Like teaching the youth ways to quit smoking and improve health. Another motive for this is to make health system active so that users voice could be raised so that response can be built accordingly (Conley Durlak, 2017). Determinants on health due to smoking-Smoking is the major causes of diseases and it directly affects the blood circulation of the body and leads to heart prone disease or lung cancer. Health promotion is used to make people in the society aware about effects of smoking, and how it is affecting the internal conditions of human being. Health promotion is used to show the negative side of smoking, so that youth take steps to improve the health conditions. It basically showcases what could be the disorders of smoking and why it is dangerous to life. It not only affects the life of an individual but all the people around in the society, especially kids who dont have a strong immune system. It increases the risks of infections and gives rise to breathing complication. In short it has an adverse effect on the society. Smoking habit is mainly caused due to stress, anxiety and depression. It is mainly seen in those people who are poor and have limited social support. Smoking in the society h as been reduced by increasing the taxation on Tabaco products. Successful restrictions have been applied on tobacco products and awareness is been created in public to reduce mental disorders. It has also increased the efforts so that long term disease can be tackled by providing high quality services. But everyday a new disease emerges in the market which is unpredictable and give rises to sever health conditions (Hasler , 2010). ). Thus health promotion is treated as a weapon in this scenario that leads to a positive health of the individual which in turn also decreases the weakness of poor health conditions (Watt, 2015). On the other hand it improves the health state by opening various health centres for the people who are addicted to smoking, by using health campaigns which include various steps like Non-pharmacology treatment or training that helps the patient to recover faster in behavioural and intellectual patterns. Issues of smoking have impacted the economy of the country as well as impacted moral accepts of the society. For overcoming from these shortcomings community based care is provided and a proper collaboration is made. The consequence of bad health is that it brings loss to life and sorrow in many adults. Prevention from this anxiety by lessens the effects and becoming stable improves mental health. Via various social programs, educational programs or motivational conferences, mental stress is minimized and increases the physical wellness of an individual (Mcleroy, et. al, 2011). Smoking habits can be improved by keeping the individual busy in some or the other activities, or meeting new people which my help them feel better and come out of depression. Apart from meeting new individuals to steps should be taken to control the consumption tobacco. Also mediation can be undertaken to improve health conditions (Breslow, 2012). The Prevention Paradox-Health promotion is a part of Health unit which deals with the department of chronic disease and promotes health clusters. Like effective health programs are conducted in the nation to improve education regarding health issues. World health organisation promotes strategic means to prevent health risks and take steps to change social, economic and political conditions. It enhances the quality of life and reduces the chances of death. By focusing on prevention and performing health education would encourage healthy behaviour in the society. Health promotion improves benefits and protects individual behaviours by addressing and preventing people from becoming ill and having injuries. These policies support rules and regulation to match public health goals (Stokols, 2013). For example controlling smoking habits is done by aligning high tax policies on unhealthy or harmful products like alcohol, Tabaco or food products that have high consumption of alcohol. Also by spreading alertness about public policies launched by government like non-smoking policy or alcohol related policies. Legislation also supports healthy cities by reducing the danger of smoking (DiClemente, Crosby Kegler, 2010). Healthy literacy need to be acquired in the society so that healthy choices can be made by eating healthy and living in an healthy environment. Key role of promoting good health is done by strong communities that supports healthy planning and build preventive measures by providing health care facilities. Approaches taken to improve smoking issue- Health promotion works on addressing certain issues by increasing strong social networks, building respectful relation in the society, encouraging healthy safe and supportive community to reduce depression in the society. World health organisation is a global initiate that promotes health activities in local, national and regional levels. Various good healthy policies reduce health inequalities. In other words health promotion also supports a person who is suffering from discrimination in the society which in turn reduces smoking habits. It is true health promotion can make a change in the society and reduces significant cause of chronic disease (Stokols, 2013). It is a crucial process to improve health control and creates new activities to boost up the promotion of health issues so that risk of disease can be prevented. Framework of health suggests that health is linked by individual behaviour and family environment. Health promotion has bu ilt many policies that make health a central line of government policy which means that the factors for health implications to take decisions, and prioritize policies that prevent people from becoming ill and protect them from injuries. As those people who are addicted to smoking should be given anti tablets which helps than reducing addiction towards smoking. These policies support public health goals. Health promotion is not an easy task it has several barriers like cost for setting public programs. Other than that setting up digital health system is very difficult to operate by old aged people as they are not updated about using new technologies. Excess of tobacco use or alcoholic consumption causes injuries to health and affects human behaviour. Providing long term care facilities ensures that individual could be recovered from smoking habits by providing proper treatment. Other than that, it is important to know where smoking habit starts from. Smoking or depression mainly starts due to discrimination in society or lack of awareness. Health promotion is the key that helps people in altering the lifestyle by educating public about health conditions and decreasing the probabilities of having chronic disease. The global acceptance of these strategies has changed the pattern of living. Health issues are addressed by empowering communities to take prominent actions for public health . Various Health Promotion programs were started to control access of smoking and addiction to drugs so that mental disorder is no caused in individuals. Health Strategy have planned some prevention methods like to provide care services at home, making it more effective and sustainable (Glasgow, Vogt Boles, 2014). Health promotion is an important link in the community which includes active contribution of communities. Health promotion is an integral part for prevention of disease and recovery from rehabilitation. It is and program that deals with common lifestyle of people and tries to improve the well-being. By influencing people and making them aware about the bad health effects. Health promotion means building health educational works in society to teach people why it is necessary to be healthy. It showcases the challenges faced by people to attain a good health. By educating families and individual help a person reduce the chances of getting indulges in wrong habits. Smoking and mental health in the society is reduced by promoting the causes of smoking and bad effects it causes on health. Various programs have been started to avoid and make people aware about cons of smoking. In short health promotion helps in improving the health of an individual by taking certain steps. Business Models and Things Environment

Question: Discuss about the Business Models and Things Environment. Answer: Introduction For any organization to prosper in the fast racing world requires effective technology sources and smart way to deliver. The firm requires efficient, smart and feasible technologies and architectures. In addition it will also need real time decision making and analytical approach. Today it is very crucial for every company to adopt with growing technologies or it may face a failure or shortage in a long run (Amadeo, Marica, et al). For a critical survival a company needs to adapt every now then developing in accordance with the competitors. Internet of things (IOT) plays a great role in todays business. It is simply a network of products which has to be connected to internet (Al-Fuqaha, Ala, et. al.). This provides the product to connect to the other through their own IP addresses for implicating the tasks automatically. The present report addresses the critical challenges faced by a home appliance manufacturing company. The company deals in making mobile phones and other home appliances like blenders, washing machines and others. The company does not run a large scale business but is into developing it into a big giant like Samsung or L.G. It works for various application services, legacy system maintenance, new application development, offshore programming and staff augmentation. In order to take the company to new heights its essential to place the company the way other giants work with the Internet of Things. Statement of the problem Every growing organization faces certain issues in the way of development of the organization. The present company too faces several challenges and is lying back from the market advancements. The organization faces a strong competition in this market. With development in information system and the way business is marketed, this area has some tough competitors. With Internet of Things proliferating in the market at an implausible pace, soon it may become the dominant force in the technology-related market (Atzori). The company does not have proper predefined methodologies or IOT driven networks to make place for more efficient work methods. The organization provides integrated digital technology and mobile phone services for both the virtual and real world. The organization highlighted above is not being able to deliver much with efficiency. It does not have efficient set of networks. The company will surely require advanced integration and streaming analytics (Barrett and John). Neither the devices nor other things are attached to the network. The people connected to the company want to avoid the need for moving from one app to the other and want their work to progress with much fluidity. Analysis of the cause of the problem The organization requires analyzing the problem widely so that an efficient solution can be devised for better functioning of the company. For an in-depth analysis of the root cause of the problems, Porters five competitive forces can be used. Porters five forces is a framework which makes an analysis of the competition in the present market and the development of the business strategy (Da Xu et. al.). It helps in drawing out all the possible economics which can drive the company with intensified working and attractiveness. This tool is small but way too powerful. The analysis provides a clear idea of where the strength of the business situation lies. Porters tool can analyze the future scope of the business too. Once an organization can identify the strengths it can take clear and positive advantage in a way improving the weak situation. Earlier with advances in the IT technology the business operations saw automation of several but restricted processes. Porters model witnesses upsurge of internet of things in every aspect of the business operation seems to get connected with internet and getting automated (Drucker, Peter). Such automation will not only leverage the previous production, product design, sales or marketing rather it will offer more like product security and data analysis. Porters believe is that this may result in improvement of value-chain based productivity. The adoption of IOT in the organization will surely reshape its future productivity and will provide potential competitive landscape. Suppliers bargaining power The first force of Porters model is suppliers bargaining power. The IOT might smartly connect and revolutionize the present supplier system. The vendors often play important role and become immensely important for any organization (Fleisch). Nevertheless, with the IOT in the business operation the supplier may lose their demand as the connected and smart technology can provide more in comparison. Sooner or later the Conventional suppliers may even be commoditized and substituted by the software. The traditional suppliers may find it difficult while it forms the base of the emergence of the new and powerful suppliers who may bring to the market the commodities of the IOT like sensors, operating system, and data storage and software connectivity (Gao, Lingling, and Xuesong Bai). The organization here deals with the traditional suppliers and requires automation of its processes from the new market suppliers Amazon, Google just like other brands Samsung, LG or Panasonic. The suppliers wh o provide smart services can be connected to the end-users taking their responses and will be able to deliver new products. Porters model mentions in the second point the Buyers bargaining power. It is considered to change the future shape of the manufacturing industry. The products developed with the Internet of things would be smarter and connected (Meyer et. al.). The means that the market will have product differentiation and the measure for it will not be price only. The organization right now does not focus on the Internet of things for their product manufacturing and their infrastructure. This might degrade their buyer bargaining power. Understanding the need of the consumers and improving their product range in accordance to that and setting other factors like tailoring of product in such fashion, fixing the price and providing value added services may increase their bargaining power in the market (Gubbi, et al.). Engaging IOT reduces the need for relying on the distribution or certain associated services. The Buyer power includes various components like number of customers, competition in the mar ket, ability to substitute and size of the orders. Porters model here proves that the buyers force does not support the organization and might face issue in future. Rivalry or tough competition Rivalry or tough competition is the third force in the porters model. It plays an important role in any business rising and its downfall too (Mineraud, Julien, et al.). The product differentiation separates a business provider from the other which creates a shift in demand of that particular product. If a business enhances its services and provides other value added services then the consumers starts to engage more with them considering it more appealing than the other similar business provider (Glova). The products developed with IOT and implemented with help of software may add an extra advantage making the product different from the other manufacturers product luring more number of customers (Ng, Irene, and Susan). The organization presently has tough competition in the market and has the possibility to gain over them with the IOT incorporated in the product. The switching cost can be a glitch for the organization for changing the infrastructure and the product design. Nevertheles s the customer loyalty towards the organization may pack back as a competitive advantage to the company. The other companies like Samsung and Panasonic have adopted IOT in their system as well as their products which take them ahead of the company under consideration. Porter defines it essential for any organization to offer more and more competitive advantage for the business health and enhanced productivity and profit (Perera et. al.). The analysis conducted shows a drawback for the organization or it can be said that the porters third force does not favors the organization. Porters fourth model advocates threats of new entrants into the market. The new entrants may face the issues of high fixed costs, embedded technology, complex product design and well developed IT infrastructure (Porter, Michael and James). Here the present organization faces an advantage as the company is already an established one. This provides it with the opportunity of being the first-mover capturing the market at early instances. The companies entering with a new product or are new to the market faces lots of barrier which results in decreasing the product profit line or results in loss of product sale. The new entrants in the market require taking extra care about the product that they are designing or about to launch along with the pricing. The entrants designing a similar product which already exists in the market or marking a product with some skyrocketing costs may make the product suffer along with the productivity and profitability important for the company (Riggins, Fred erick and Samuel). The company has already established a secure position in the market and does not faces any challenge under such circumstances. Nevertheless the pressure from the other advanced company who has already affectively applied the IOT in their infrastructure and the product may become a possible threat which is further discussed in the next force of the Porter model. A threat for a substitute in the market is described by porter as the fifth force in his model. He defines it as an important threat because it may damage the popularity of a present product. The two of the essential point which are substitutes performance and the cost of change need to look after. The organization presently can think of substituting their product in the market which may incur high cost to the company (Wortmann, Felix, and Kristina). The company can only be successful in substituting its product when it incorporates the IOT in their products. This way if the company gives an unmatched performance to the other product present in the market it may secure a strong position in the market (Gerpott, Torsten and Sebastian). They can present their smart connected product with great customer values and enhanced customization. On the other hand if the products of other company like Samsung are already ruling the market for being a smart connected product then it may get diffic ult for the company to capture the market like the other organization has done. The broader range of capabilities that the IOT products have makes it easier to replace the traditional products to take its place (Westerlund et.al.). The company has to look into making their products more smartly connected so that they can replace the existing product in the market. Samsung IOT solutions If an analysis is made in reference to a big organization like Samsung then it would be seen that the organization under evaluation is facing several challenges. Samsungs one of the efficient product IOT Gateway is being implanted very soon. It is an IOT based products which will prove efficient for communication in short range. Not only this, the product is being said to provide WiFi, Bluetooth Low energy and Zigbee all in a single product (www.samsung.com). Such kind of products leverages the companys image and productivity. The product is being stated to be used in school or offices for automatic light management depending upon the number of occupants present in the room so that an efficient management can be done and more energy can be saved. It can even track the occupants presence and thus can acts as an attendance tracker. The present company does not serve with any such devices and lags in the market thus. The company like Panasonic, Samsung and others are moving into the mar ket with such IOT making the smart and tough competitors to deal with. To give a competition or even enter the market it needs to renovate their whole manufacturing and product production methodologies. Recommendations The organization right now is facing severe or critical challenges which have to be addressed soon for developing the organization and reform it into the internet of things. The IT systems need to be prepared for dealing with the changes that shall be brought. Some of the prime changes recommended are: Retooling the organization for IOT: Retooling the technology facet may be a complex process and tedious too. Yet, the organization being consumer electronic has to withstand such change being in the market in the long run. Technology Standards: It should participate in the ongoing technological trends. Some examples like intelligent lightning system, safety management system and automatic attendance tracker system should be followed and matched. Strong connectivity: Every Internet of Things requires connecting to a strong network so that it can work faster and much efficiently. The organization should focus into manufacturing products implying the usage of good connection. Best and continuous- model for services and software: The organization should focus into upgrading their product so as to deliver software updates in continuous fashion. Conclusion The organization seems to be backed out specifically in innovation and implementation of IOT in their products. The important reason for it staying behind is the lack of sense of implementing new opportunities. This has made the organization suffer and might be a big reason for its failure in the long term. The organization is having a fair productivity but it may lower down somewhere in the near future. The organization should now focus on entering the market with some great substitutes so that it can re-establish itself in the market. The top priorities of the company should be to innovate and grow their productivity. Improving quality can be done by developing and providing the customers a reliable infrastructure which could ease their work more than just simply working. Intel helps in moving forward with IOT and building blocks towards success with related software and hardware. Such devices makes connectivity available all the time everywhere, it provides security management fea tures along with Wi-Fi making it more compelling for any other organization or consumers to opt. Creating flexible solution and deploying IOT solution will drive the adoption in market. Conclusively, it can be said that the organization is not innovating up to the mark and requires developing their course of work and manufacturing smart products based on Internet of Things. It is true that the Information and technology is in to transforming products for public benefit and enhanced efficiency. Execution of such technology is said to make the mechanical and electrical structure far more complex consisting of hardware, software, data storage, microcontrollers and sensors. Like the establishment of smart cities and grids the organization in the context also requires connecting its devices and all things to internet for better market advantage. These suppliers are becoming powerful as the business operations are being automated and this may lead to increase in their demand in the market. This would provide them a position in the competitive market. The products at organization in comparison to other competitors like LG, Samsung or Panasonic have made the consumers drive down the price as they prefer those brands over it. Along with all these development it is a companys responsibility to make sure that all its data are secure in the ecosystem of Internet of Things. References Al-Fuqaha, Ala, et al. The freedom found in wind represents the freedom inside of all Americans. Jazz itself is a success narrative told through its ain innovation. True wind instrumentalists play the music that they do as a necessity to themselves. Their music is their diary. and their journal is more pure than words can state. Jazz is America’s great part to the humanistic disciplines. It is thrilling. tickle pinking. and challenging music that stirs emotions of all sorts. Jazz is in the head. bosom. and in the psyche. Its influence extends worldwide. and touches all related signifiers of music. It is an enriching art signifier that deserves a particular topographic point in our vivacious civilization. III In the universe of wind. immature performing artists must get the hang a repertory of chord patterned advances. off-beats. and harmoniousnesss so that they can number on them as constructions around which and through which they might weave more charming fluctuations. Wind participants use chord alterations as a agency of giving form to melodic improvisation. Classical participants simply read lead sheets or book agreements and utilize rigorous chord symbols in a much more inactive manner. â€Å"Classical music is simple for its rhythmic form and simplistic chords while jazz’ chords are complex† Cook ( p. 17 ) . Many may reason that classical music is a more built-in portion of development. but a gifted classical composer will in fact draw on stylistic elements of wind to enrich the classical tradition of symphonic music. Classical composers have systematically been doing usage of two elements of wind over the old ages which are syncope and harmoniousness characterized by bluish notes. â€Å"Indeed. even seemingly knowing classical instrumentalists frequently sound baffled and diffident about the kernel of wind music. † Carr ( p. 174 ) . Some of the most complete instrumentalists of our clip have devoted themselves to a life-long survey of wind music. and few classical instrumentalists have been able to get the hang wind. Jazz music ran parallel to the development of the 20th century classical manner music. Those instrumentalists that learn both types of music are non locked into one type of subject. and will hold more musical experiences. â€Å"We are the musical thaw pot accomplishing a vision of unifying civilizations that fulfilled the image that America had of its ain societal fate. † Gioia ( P. 395 ) . As a consequence of this construct. wind composers began to go to symphonic music concerts. and later wind and classical manners began to overlap to a grade ; which resulted in an art signifier now referred to as wind merger. Some would reason that wind music is excessively different from classical due to being unceremonial. gritty. or excessively improvisational. Between 1920 and 1950 wind and classical music together made the most successful parts to music. â€Å"One genre basically has the ability to larn something from the other. and can make an even more bewitching sound. † Ratl iff ( p. 23 ) Many could challenge over the fact that a fledgling to wind might experience bewildered by its proliferation of manners and differing attacks to music-making. â€Å"Indeed. harmoniousnesss are more unresolved. phrases more irregular. speech patterns crisp. and pacing are more varied. but that is what makes it so beautiful. Its insouciant nature is evidenced by the inoffensiveness of incorrect notes being plated. by vocalists taking breath sometimes without relation to wordss. and instrumentalists being introduced right in the center of a performance† Ratliff ( p. 72 ) . Classical music on the other manus can on occasion trip a thorough geographic expedition of ego and head. It may do a individual to look at their failures in life. A sudden realisation of ego can be utmost or painful. Not everyone enjoys classical music. In the UK. classical music is used to drive groups of young persons off from topographic points they congregate in. Jazz music is a beautiful improvisational a rt doing itself up as it goes along merely like the state that gave it birth. and with each pat of the pes. wind instrumentalists reaffirm their connexion to the Earth. Jazz waxes and ebbs between tenseness and rest. It challenges the instrumentalist with capriciousness and so honoring the hearer with predictable beat. â€Å"Jazz wagess single look but demands altruistic coaction. † Ward ( p. 1 ) . Listening to wind is non merely a satisfying and honoring experience ; surveies show that it is really good for a musician’s wellness. Listening to wind or playing wind tunes can alleviate chronic hurting and megrims. cut down blood force per unit area. speed up post-stroke recovery. better memory. hike unsusceptibility and bring on relaxation. 2 Jazz music helps distract people. It gives persons a sense of control and besides releases endorphins into their organic structures that alleviate hurting. There is a really contextual argument that classical music is superior due to the fact it can let go of Dopastat during expectancy and experience of peak emotion to music. It conveys really good what the composer puts into it. and although classical music does trip pleasance and reward-related parts of the encephalon making a high. playing extremely pitched stimulating music for long periods is non healthy because it leads to cortisol and noradrenalin secernment without the attendant battle or flight action. Long term overdose with those endocrines is good documented to make many wellness jobs. from depression to sexual disfunction. The current market portion of Jazz in America is mere 3 per centum. but wind is still regarded as a really powerful music which is in the blood and feeling of the American people more than any other manner of music. It can be made the footing of serious symphonic plants of enduring value in the custodies of a talented composer. â€Å"Jazz music has ever been and everlastingly will be cardinal in the development of future musicians† Cook ( p. 65 ) . The improviser may depend on the contours of the original melody. or entirely on the possibilities of the chords’ harmoniousnesss. or ( like Ornette Coleman ) on a footing of pure tune. After watching this movie, I became more aware of the people around me with disabilities and befriended several. Identify and discuss the various exit strategies that investors may Essay

Identify and discuss the various exit strategies that investors may use and the implications for commercialization - Essay Example In most of the cases, these kinds of investors would look for an investment opportunity for shorter terms like 3-7 years. The Angel investors are also another category who would want a high return from their investments but they might stick to their investments for longer periods of time. However, both of these categories would look for exit strategies that they may have in front of them. Initial Public Offering A company can go to the public to raise funds when it is big enough to guarantee its credibility and the people would be interested to buy the shares of the company through registered stock exchanges. This would enable the investors get their money back almost instantaneously as soon as the company collects the money. Most of the investors believe that the startups where they are investing in would have the capacity to go to public within 5 years of their inception. But this may not always be feasible because a company needs time to grow and sustain. Thus the venture capitali sts have to look for more practicable strategies. Acquisition The company can sell itself outright to a bigger company or individual who would have complete ownership and hence the venture capitalist would be able to get their investment back. The investor would also be able to negotiate the management contract in that case. However there is a possibility that the investor would lose his identity in the company. Management Buy Out In case of a buy out any one or two persons of the management may buy out the stakes of the company completely. In this case the persons who want to sell out the shares of the company would get his investment and return back and the other members would retain the shares of the company (Roberts, 39). The company has an advantage in a way that it can retain a part of the present set of management. Mergers The start-up can join hands with an existing company and can operate under a single name. In such a situation the investor would get some amount of cash an d also little amount of stake in the new company. However, the company would no longer be within the control as before. Sale of the Company In case the company is sold to some other entity completely the entire management will change but the investor would get full refund of his money and return at the moment of the purchase. Above mentioned ways are some of the options opened for an investor to exit after few years of initial investment in a company, though the final motives of the investor will drive him to the way that would be most appropriate for him. Implications for Commercialization The commercialization of a new product or idea needs the support of the investors both financially as well as in terms of managerial support. Venture capitalists have an active role in this regard. The commercialization requires a lot of investment in resources, marketing the initial launch, advertisement and the brand building. It exerts a greater amount of pressure on the investors as they woul d have to spend a lot on an investment that may not guarantee them sufficient return (Sahlman, 496). Thus it is important for the venture capitalists to weigh the alternatives and should look for ample scope for exit strategies that would allow them with the flexibility to move out of their
